We cook eighteen jars at a time at the house in Duson — mayhaw and muscadine from the woods, peppers from the field, cucumbers from farmers down the road. If you have had our mayhaw jelly on a hot biscuit, you already know.

Josey's Goods started in 2017 with more figs than we could eat and a canner on the back burner. Now we put up jams, jellies, pepper jelly, pickles and hot sauce all year — still by hand, still in Duson, still eighteen at a time.
